Our versatile Karaweera function room at 85 square metres with a ceiling height of 2.7 metres is named after the original homestead founded in 1880 and can cater for a wide range of events of up to 70 guests’ banquet style. With an abundance of natural light streaming through floor to ceiling windows and French doors, our pillarless function room features views overlooking the grounds of the Retreat. Our Karawerra function room also opens out onto an enclosed glass gazebo and features an outdoor fireplace with BBQ and water fountain which all overlook the Retreat grounds. Special outdoor events can be held within the grounds of the Retreat. Our Karaweera function room is equipped with state of the art audio visual equipment including wide format projection screens, ceiling mounted data projectors and the latest sound systems. Our onsite technician is available throughout your event to ensure a smooth, seamless experience. A dedicated coordinator will act as your single point of contact, working with you throughout the entire process. They will offer expert advice and pay meticulous attention to detail to ensure your event is a success.
